LH Listens to Resident Opinions on Winning Designs for 6 Urban Complex Sites
Targeting Construction Start in 2026
Sequential Project Approval Applications Expected from June to August
Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 26th that it will hold briefing sessions to gather residents' opinions on the winning designs for six pilot districts of the Urban Public Housing Complex Project (hereinafter referred to as the Urban Complex Project), which were announced last March.
Starting with the Ssangmun Station residents' briefing on the 22nd, LH will meet with residents at Banghak Station on the 26th, Singil 2 on the 27th, Yeonsinnae on the 29th, and Jungsan 4 district in May. The briefings are planned to be held during weekday evenings and weekends to allow many residents to attend.
At the previously held briefing on the west side of Ssangmun Station, about 240 residents attended, and 95 residents attended the briefing on the east side of Ssangmun Station. The sessions provided time for Q&A on the winning designs and for listening to residents' requests, fostering empathy and communication between residents and the project team.

The Urban Complex Project is a project that supplies high-quality housing within urban areas by providing incentives such as floor area ratio bonuses to regions where development is difficult through conventional redevelopment projects.
The six pilot districts currently underway were designated in December 2021, and a total of 7,700 housing units will be supplied.
LH aims to complete the designs by collecting residents' opinions through these briefings and consulting experts, so that the six pilot districts can be reborn as community hubs.
Once the basic designs are completed, LH plans to sequentially apply for project approval between June and August, aiming to start construction in 2026 while proceeding with project approval, compensation, and relocation.
