Soluem Participates in Vietnam's Largest National Electric Vehicle Charger Project
Soluleum is partnering with a Vietnamese state-owned enterprise to participate in Vietnam's largest national project.
Soluleum recently announced on the 26th that it held a signing ceremony in Hanoi, Vietnam, with PetroVietnam Power Corporation to expand the future electric vehicle charger market base. The event was attended by Jeon Seong-ho, CEO of Soluleum, Le Nhu Linh, CEO of PetroVietnam Power Corporation, and executives from both companies.
Vietnam is conducting the largest national project related to renewable energy led by the state-owned company PetroVietnam. While seeking a suitable business partner in the global electronics industry, Soluleum was selected as the partner for this project because it possesses all the core competencies required for the national project, including power conversion technology, communication technology, and hardware and software technology, and is recognized as the only company capable of providing a total solution.
Soluleum has outstanding capabilities across various business sectors such as power modules, electronic shelf labels (ESL), secondary battery reuse, high-voltage battery management systems (BMS), solar power and smart streetlights, semiconductor design, sensor modules, and healthcare. In particular, participation in this Vietnamese project is expected to serve as an opportunity to expand its business by shifting its existing power module business to focus on electric vehicle charger-related business.
Soluleum plans to collaborate with PetroVietnam to develop BMS and energy storage system (ESS) products this year, begin full-scale mass production from next year, and distribute mobile chargers including fixed chargers in key regions within this year for trial operation. Once product development is completed, the two companies also plan to build electric vehicle charging hubs based on the battery swapping system (BSS) throughout Vietnam.
