The film 'Escape: PROJECT SILENCE' (hereafter 'Escape') has received an invitation to this year's Cannes Film Festival. CJ ENM announced on the 25th that the working title, originally known as 'Silence,' has been changed to 'Escape.'
On the 24th (local time), the 76th Cannes Film Festival Secretariat announced that the film 'Escape' has been invited to the Midnight Screening section. The Midnight Screening section showcases genre films such as action, thriller, noir, fantasy, and horror that combine artistic merit and popular appeal.

The film is produced by director Kim Yong-hwa, who attracted 10 million viewers with the 'Along with the Gods' series, and directed by Kim Tae-gon, CEO of Gwanghwamun Cinema, known for films such as 'The King of Jokgu' (2014), 'The Queen of Crime' (2016), and 'Microhabitat' (2018), and who also directed 'Goodbye Single' (2016).
Through the distributor, director Kim Tae-gon expressed, "I am happy to be invited to the Cannes Film Festival. It is an honor as a filmmaker. I hope 'Escape' receives a good response at the festival."
Director Kim Yong-hwa, who produced the film, said, "It is an honor to be invited to the Cannes Film Festival. I hope many audiences beyond borders watch and support this work, which was made with great effort under difficult production conditions."
