Yeongam-gun Successfully Hosts Domestic and International Festival at Daebul Industrial Complex

Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Woo Seung-hee) announced on the 25th that the ‘Hanmadang Festival’ was successfully held on the 23rd at Daebul Sports Complex, with the participation of about 500 domestic and foreign workers from the Daebul Industrial Complex.

Held under the name ‘Santa Claus of April,’ this event was hosted by the Jeonnam Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Cooperative and organized with the support and participation of Yeongam-gun, Da-A Industry Co., Ltd., Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., the Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Partner Companies Council, and 10 other companies.
The event created a lively atmosphere with various games such as ttakji-chigi (Korean traditional card flipping game), volleyball, and dodgeball, along with generous prizes.
In particular, free tuberculosis testing, industrial safety experiences, and CPR training booths were operated by the Jeonnam Western Workers’ Health Center, the Jeonnam branch of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and Samho 119 Safety Center, making it a meaningful event that considered the health and safety of workers.
A county official said, “Compared to last year, the number of participants increased significantly, and seeing the passionate preparations before talent shows and sports competitions, we could feel the atmosphere of harmony. Through this event, workers of various nationalities within the Daebul Industrial Complex had a meaningful time to strengthen friendship and bonds.”
