On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Korea-World Bank Partnership Facility (KWPF), the World Bank selected Bundang Seoul National University Hospital as a panel for the 'Caribbean Countries Healthcare Support Program' and visited Korea.

From the 24th to the 28th, Bundang Seoul National University Hospital hosted a workshop welcoming the World Bank delegation and representatives from the health ministries of Caribbean countries such as Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, introducing the overall Korean healthcare system including hospitals, public health centers, public hospitals, the National Health Insurance Service, and the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service.

The delegation particularly benchmarked various digital healthcare technologies and smart solutions for indicator management, including Bundang Seoul National University Hospital’s medical information system 'BESTCare 2.0', as well as hospital operations. Additionally, they visited public hospitals (secondary medical institutions) and local health centers (primary medical institutions) affiliated with Bundang Seoul National University Hospital to observe the medical delivery system for severe and chronic diseases of public concern, such as cardiovascular diseases.

Bundang Seoul National University Hospital plans to sign memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with representative hospitals from Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to continuously support the development of healthcare in these two countries.

Song Jeong-han, director of Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, said, "As part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, we have long been transferring know-how and providing support for the development of underdeveloped healthcare countries such as Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Colombia. In addition to the World Bank’s support project, we will develop various programs for the advancement of healthcare in Caribbean countries and continue health cooperation with these countries."
