GS Retail has been actively practicing environmental management, including donating 400 million KRW to the Environmental Foundation last year. Since April this year, GS25 has completely stopped ordering plastic straws and only uses paper straws. In November last year, they newly developed and introduced ice cups that do not require straws.
A GS Retail official said, "We are strengthening ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management with a corporate sense of responsibility toward the climate crisis," adding, "We will spare no support to create meaningful events with Eco Creators by directly producing environmental films and providing opportunities for screening."
