Saewool Nuclear Headquarters, Recruiting Citizen Observers for Units 3 and 4 Construction
Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power will publicly recruit the "6th Saewool Units 3 and 4 Construction Citizen Observers" from the 24th until May 4th.
The citizen observers, operated for the sixth time as a follow-up measure after the public discussion on Shin-Kori Units 5 and 6 (currently Saewool Units 3 and 4), have been running since 2018 to secure public trust in nuclear safety through transparent information disclosure.
The 6th citizen observers will select a total of 50 residents living in Ulsan, Busan, and Gyeongnam areas adjacent to the Saewool Units 3 and 4 construction site.
The selected citizen observers will participate in online observation and on-site visits of major processes related to nuclear power plant construction and commissioning from June to October for five months, and engage in activities such as freely expressing opinions and policy suggestions on the dedicated KHNP citizen observers' website.
