Gwangju Lotte Department Store Donates Rice to Disabled Welfare Center
Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch announced on the 24th that it donated 1,000 kg of rice to the Gwangju Dong-gu Disabled Welfare Center in celebration of Disabled Persons Day.
This event was promoted to contribute to creating a society where people with and without disabilities live together harmoniously.
The rice donated on this day is scheduled to be delivered to 100 non-beneficiary disabled households residing in the Dong-gu area of Gwangju. In particular, 100 non-beneficiary disabled households who are either low-income disabled persons not receiving basic living security or have registered dependents and thus do not receive rice benefits were selected to receive the donation.
Kim Young-yeol, Support Team Leader at Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch, said, “We are pleased to carry out this meaningful sharing activity to create a society where everyone lives together in celebration of Disabled Persons Day,” adding, “Going forward, the Gwangju branch will continue activities that communicate with and contribute to the local community.”
