Cultural Heritage Administration to Provide Cultural Heritage Safety Education Until October
Mountain Temple Cultural Heritage Officials Also Included as Subjects
The Cultural Heritage Administration will conduct cultural heritage safety education until October. The target audience includes about 2,500 people such as safety guards assigned to important wooden cultural heritage sites, residents of folk villages, temple officials, cultural heritage interpreters, and children. Considering the recent frequent occurrence of wildfires, officials related to temple cultural heritage near mountainous areas are also included. Through customized on-site education such as theater, videos, and practical training, the program aims to prevent disasters and enhance initial response capabilities. Based on disaster response guidelines, initial actions in case of fire are carried out, and instructions on how to act during various accidents are introduced. Visitors are also taught evacuation procedures, first aid methods, and how to operate fire extinguishing equipment. A Cultural Heritage Administration official stated, "We will minimize blind spots in cultural heritage safety and create a safe viewing environment through various education and promotional activities."
