The People Power Party criticized the sympathy expressed within the Democratic Party of Korea regarding former leader Song Young-gil in connection with the 'party convention money envelope scandal,' asking, "Are you in your right mind?"
On the 23rd, Lee Min-chan, the full-time deputy spokesperson of the People Power Party, pointed out, "Members of the Democratic Party are pouring out words toward former leader Song," adding, "Phrases like 'Go alone like a rhinoceros horn,' 'Truly a great vessel, Song Young-gil,' and 'A person with little greed' are embarrassing just to hear."
Earlier, Kim Min-seok, the policy chief of the Democratic Party, stated on social media (SNS) that he "guarantees that former leader Song is a person with little greed, though calling him ascetic might be an exaggeration." Nam Young-hee, the regional chairperson of Incheon Michuhol-eul, mentioned, "Watching Song's press conference, the phrase 'Go alone like a rhinoceros horn' came to mind."

The spokesperson criticized, "Does the Democratic Party mistakenly think former leader Song Young-gil is some kind of independence activist?" He added, "It is ridiculous to see them defending Song Young-gil, who leisurely strolled through Paris, France, even after turning South Korea into chaos with the party convention money envelope distribution scandal."
