According to the Presidential Office on the 22nd, an "ambient advertisement" combining images of the South Korean and U.S. honor guards along with the Taegukgi and Stars and Stripes flags displayed on the roof of the building was installed on the exterior wall of the Washington, DC Korean Cultural Center on Massachusetts Avenue. Ambient advertising refers to advertisements that utilize the characteristics of a specific location as media.
In 1953, the U.S. honor guard held the Stars and Stripes, and 70 years later, in 2023, the Republic of Korea honor guard stands side by side holding the Taegukgi. Below, the phrase 'Freedom and Solidarity' is inscribed.
Similar stand-type displays were installed in the front yard of the former Korean Empire Consulate located at Logan Circle in Washington, DC, and Taegukgi flags were hung throughout the streets of Washington, DC.
