Opening of ‘BPA Huimang Gotgan’ Branch No. 2 Sharing 精 with Ingredients
Installation of Saha Sarangnanum Food Market
Donation of Ingredients, Free Provision to Vulnerable Groups
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) opened the second branch of the sharing refrigerator, ‘BPA Hope Pantry,’ inside the Sahasarang Sharing Food Market in cooperation with Busan Dosong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center (Director Kim Tae-hyung) on the 19th.
BPA is carrying out a project to install sharing refrigerators near Busan Port, where local residents can donate food ingredients and those in need can take them for free, with budget support from the Public Coexistence Solidarity Fund Foundation (Chairman Lee Byung-hoon).
The Sahasarang Sharing Food Market (Dadaero, Saha-gu, Busan), where the second BPA Hope Pantry is installed, is a permanent space designed to promote donations of food and daily necessities as a donation provision site, allowing people facing difficulties to visit the food market and select donated items themselves.
Donated food and other items are provided free of charge to those selected as beneficiaries by the Saha District Office, including emergency support recipients, lower-income groups, low-income families, and basic livelihood security recipients.
Approximately 750 vulnerable local residents use the market every month. The BPA Hope Pantry operates under the same criteria.
The Sahasarang Sharing Food Market operates from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
