13 People Including Illegal Gambling Operation Gang and Customers Sent to Prosecution
A group operating an illegal gambling site and customers who gambled illegally at the Hold'em pub were handed over to the prosecution.

View original imageAccording to the police on the 20th, the Eunpyeong Police Station in Seoul sent 13 people, including the Hold'em pub owner, money exchanger, dealer, employees, and 7 customers who were gambling, to the prosecution without detention on charges of illegal gambling operation and gambling.
They are accused of opening a gambling site and conducting illegal gambling by exchanging cash for chips, conducting Texas Hold'em games, and then exchanging the chips back into cash. It is known that they operated the gambling site by recruiting an unspecified number of customers through an open chat room from December last year to March this year.
On the evening of the 8th of last month, around 8 p.m., the police conducted a search and seizure at the Hold'em pub, confiscating chips (2,500 pieces) used for gambling, cash (8.61 million won), six ledgers of sales and exchange records, and two mobile phones.

Additionally, by tracking and analyzing the exchange accounts used in the crime, they applied for pre-indictment seizure of 350 million won related to criminal proceeds and took recovery measures.
