White House Announces President Yoon's State Visit Schedule to the US... "Will Emphasize Unbreakable Alliance"
The White House officially announced the state visit schedule of President Yoon Seok-yeol to the United States next week.
On the 19th (local time), the White House issued a press release stating that President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host the state visit of President Yoon and First Lady Kim Keon-hee, which includes a state dinner on the 26th.
The White House explained, "This is the second state visit by a foreign head of state under the Biden-Harris administration and the first state visit by a leader from an Indo-Pacific country."
According to the schedule announced by the White House, President Biden and the First Lady will visit the Korean War Veterans Memorial with President Yoon and the First Lady on the evening of the 25th. On the morning of the 26th, an official welcoming ceremony for President Yoon and the First Lady will be held at the White House South Lawn, hosted by President Biden and the First Lady along with Vice President Kamala Harris and her spouse. Following this, President Biden will hold a summit with President Yoon, and then they will hold a joint press conference at the White House Rose Garden. Afterwards, President Biden and the First Lady will invite President Yoon and the First Lady to a state dinner, where they will dine together and take commemorative photos. Vice President Harris and her spouse will also attend the dinner.

The White House stated, "The state visit will emphasize the ironclad alliance between the United States and South Korea," adding, "The alliance has grown far beyond the Korean Peninsula and has now become a force for good in the Indo-Pacific and around the world." It further emphasized, "The leaders will discuss their shared vision for a strong and deeply integrated U.S.-South Korea alliance that maintains peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific and beyond."
