The appointees include Kim Myung-ho, former editor of Kukmin Ilbo; Kim Seok-hyun, former deputy editor-in-chief of JoongAng Ilbo; Won Man-sik, former president of Jeonju MBC; Woo Deuk-jung, former chief editorial writer of Seoul Shinmun; Lee Yoo-sik, former CEO of News1; Kim Su-jin, lawyer at Moonmoo Law Firm; Song Ui-ho, former head of JoongAng Ilbo's Daegu bureau; Kim Deok-mo, professor of Journalism and Broadcasting at Honam University; Kang Byung-ho, professor of Media Content at Paichai University; Park Heung-sik, former editor-in-chief of Gyeonggi Ilbo; and Kim Dong-woo, former head of YTN Chungcheong headquarters. Their term is three years, with the possibility of one renewal.

The Press Arbitration Commission is an organization that mediates and arbitrates disputes arising from press reports and reviews infringements of legal interests. According to the "Act on the Mediation and Relief of Damage Caused by the Press," it is composed of lawyers recommended by the Korean Bar Association, former journalists, and scholars in the media field. Kim Do-hyung, director of the Media Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, "We expect them to play an important role in protecting the rights and interests of the public and fostering a healthy media environment."
