Ourhome has been selected as a research institution for a project aimed at solving the labor shortage in the food service industry, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and overseen by the Korea Institute of Planning and Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The research project is titled "Standardization of Smart Kitchen Operations by Food Service Type Based on an Integrated Food Tech Platform and Resolution of Labor Shortages in the Front and Back Ends of the Food Service Industry."

Leveraging over 40 years of experience leading the catering and food service industries, extensive data and know-how, catering process innovation (PI), and consulting expertise, Ourhome will promote the development of ▲an integrated food tech platform ▲a mobile-based universal ordering system ▲automated cooking robots and personalized systems.

Additionally, the project will include ▲AI-based personalized recipe recommendations ▲establishment of an automated cooking system to minimize labor input ▲development of simplified ingredients ▲real-time menu sales monitoring system ▲and development of small tools for each process through cooking robots and segmentation of cooking processes.

Along with Ourhome, seven institutions specializing in robotics, AI, and the Internet of Things (IoT) will jointly participate to develop robots for automating key cooking processes by menu type and establish a safety management system. A location-based mobile universal ordering system and a Korean-style kitchen display system (KDS) will also be developed. Furthermore, digital transformation of recipes developed by Ourhome and an AI-based personalized recommendation system will be pursued using natural language processing technology.
