Dong-A University Holds Inauguration Ceremony for the 6th General Education Student Evaluation Group
The College of Liberal Arts at Dong-A University held the inauguration ceremony for the ‘6th Liberal Arts Education Student Evaluation Group’.
The inauguration ceremony, held recently in Room 705 of the College of Humanities and Sciences at Dong-A University Seunghak Campus, was attended by Dean Jin-Kyung Kim of the College of Liberal Arts, officials, and members of the Student Evaluation Group.
Starting with the inauguration ceremony and orientation on the day, the Student Evaluation Group will carry out activities until November, including ▲analyzing preferences for liberal arts courses among enrolled students ▲analyzing the latest trends ▲exploring and proposing liberal arts courses in preparation for the 4th Industrial Revolution ▲planning and producing promotional content for liberal arts courses and extracurricular programs.
Launched in 2018 as part of the University Innovation Support Project, the Dong-A University Liberal Arts Education Student Evaluation Group has demonstrated achievements such as proposing new liberal arts courses through various surveys and data analyses, and was selected as an ‘Excellent Case in Curriculum’ in the 2019 University Institutional Accreditation Evaluation.

View original imageCourses established based on proposals from the Student Evaluation Group include ‘Crime and Psychology,’ ‘Understanding Addiction,’ ‘Understanding Gender,’ ‘Who am I,’ ‘Labor Rights and Law,’ and ‘Sexuality and Love.’
At the event, Dean Jin-Kyung Kim said, “Since the Student Evaluation Group has achieved outstanding results so far, I expect you to perform as well as or even better than your predecessors,” and added, “Please think of your mission as establishing the foundation of ‘liberal arts’ and carry a strong sense of responsibility.”

Lee Dong-Yoon, the leader of the 6th group, said, “I believe liberal arts courses are the flower of university life,” and added, “I will do my best to help this flower fully bloom.”
