On the 19th, Cho Kyu-hong, Minister of Health and Welfare, discussed the currently being established 'Comprehensive Support Measures for Nursing Personnel (Draft)' and major issues such as the Nursing Act with Han Su-young, President of the Hospital Nurses Association.

At the meeting, Minister Cho congratulated President Han on her inauguration and shared a wide range of opinions on recent issues, the Ministry of Health and Welfare reported.
President Han stated, "I hope the government will provide institutional support so that the ongoing 'Pilot Project for Improving Nurse Shift Systems' can be expanded to all hospital-level medical institutions nationwide as soon as possible." She added, "I also request prompt legislation and active financial support to ensure that education-dedicated nurses are assigned not only to public medical institutions but also to all necessary hospital-level medical institutions."

Minister Cho encouraged, "I appreciate the hard work of hospital nurses who protected the health of the people during the COVID-19 response." He added, "The government will actively establish policies to improve the working environment of nurses so that hospital nurses can continue to provide essential medical services stably in the future."
