Busan National University Selected as Operating Institution for 'Digital Saessak Camp'
Busan National University Software Education Center has been selected again this year as an operating institution for the Ministry of Education's ‘2023 First Half Digital Sprout Camp,’ following last year.
Accordingly, from April to June, the Busan National University Software Education Center will receive a project fund of 935 million KRW to provide software (SW) experience and educational opportunities to a total of about 1,000 students, including 400 students from the Gyeongsang region Neulbom School and approximately 600 middle and high school students.
The ‘Digital Sprout Camp’ is a nationwide educational project designed to stimulate interest and enthusiasm in software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI) among elementary, middle, and high school students, providing them with hands-on experience and educational opportunities.

The consortium will conduct problem-solving and creative convergence project-based SW and AI education, which is difficult to implement in regular curricula, targeting elementary, middle, and high school students in the Gyeongsang region, including Busan.
The teaching staff will consist of excellent personnel suitable for each camp’s characteristics, including current university faculty, teachers, and SW professional instructors, with SW education volunteer clubs and undergraduate and graduate students from Busan participating as mentors.
Recruitment of participating students will take place from April through June, and detailed information can be found on the Software Education Center’s website during the recruitment period.
