A Korean female traveler was sexually harassed by a local man in India, prompting the local police to launch an investigation.
On the 18th (local time), according to Indian media such as Republic TV, a Korean female blogger was walking while filming a video in Jodhpur, Rajasthan state in western India the previous afternoon.
At that time, a man began to follow her closely from behind, and sensing danger, the woman ran away toward a place where other people were present. The man, smiling as he chased her, also exposed his private parts.

Jodhpur is famous for its beautiful fort walls and blue-painted village, and it is a frequent destination for Korean tourists. In December last year, a Korean female internet broadcaster visiting western Mumbai was also sexually harassed by a local man.
At that time, the local man approached the woman who was walking and broadcasting live, grabbed her arm, and kissed her on the cheek. After the related video was shared, Mumbai police treated the case as a sexual violence incident and arrested two men aged 19 and 20 who appeared in the video.
India, where the caste system still exists, faces widespread sexual harassment and assault on streets and public transportation
In India, where the caste system still persists, sexual harassment and assault are widespread on streets and public transportation. In response, Indian women are using various tools to resist numerous instances of sexual harassment and assault on buses and subways. One of these tools is the 'clothes pin.'
According to a BBC report on March 20, a woman in her 30s revealed that a man repeatedly tried to grope her on a night bus traveling between Kochi in southern Kerala state and Bengaluru.
"At first, I thought it was accidental and pushed him away," the woman said, but when the man did not stop his behavior, she realized it was intentional.
The woman explained to BBC that the clothes pin she was holding to fasten her scarf "saved her that day."
She said, "I kept poking the man with the clothes pin. Although he backed off, he continued to attempt sexual harassment repeatedly. So I kept poking him. Eventually, he finally backed off." She added, "I was glad to have the clothes pin, but I also felt foolish for not slapping the man’s cheek at the time."
