Police Launch Investigation into Two JTBC Reporters Accused of Sexual Harassment
The police have launched an investigation into two male reporters from JTBC who sexually harassed female reporter colleagues during an overseas business trip.
According to the police on the 19th, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul took over the case of their sexual assault from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency the day before and is currently investigating.
They are accused of sexually harassing female reporters from other media outlets respectively when they visited Mongolia on the 12th for an exchange reporting program between the Korea Journalists Association and the Mongolian Journalists Association.

After the incident became known, JTBC and the Korea Journalists Association initiated disciplinary procedures against them. JTBC stated in a press release on the 14th, “The individuals involved have been immediately removed from their duties. The company has begun reviewing the statements they submitted and has started an official fact-finding investigation and disciplinary process.”
