Changwon Special City, City Bus Strike ... Measures to Minimize Citizen Inconvenience
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held an emergency countermeasure meeting on the 19th to minimize citizen inconvenience caused by the city bus strike and began full-scale response efforts.
At the meeting held from 8 a.m. under the chairmanship of Vice Mayor Jo Myung-rae, the focus was on checking the inconveniences experienced by citizens due to the temporary city bus operation and preparing measures to resolve them.

View original imageThe city has currently prepared an emergency transportation plan matching the pre-strike bus operation level, deploying a total of 991 vehicles on strike routes, including 143 charter buses, 11 public buses, 800 rented taxis, and 37 city and village buses not participating in the strike.
Charter buses operated from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., while rented taxis focused on peak commuting hours. A total of 308 personnel, including members of social organizations and city employees, were deployed as bus guides.
Inconveniences caused by the temporary city bus operation have also been reported. In particular, charter buses temporarily deployed have not been operating according to the timetable, and rented taxis have been reported to selectively pick up passengers based on routes. Additionally, many citizens have experienced significant inconvenience due to the absence of buses operating on Gongdan-ro.
