The contest submissions will be accepted until the 12th of next month.
Starbucks signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MOU) in 2021 with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled and Seoul National University Dental Hospital, promising continuous mutual cooperation to promote employment for people with disabilities and raise awareness. As part of this, the tumbler drawing contest has been held annually.
Now in its third year, the Starbucks Tumbler Drawing Contest is held under the theme of "Harmony," where participants are free to express the meaning of "a world where we live together" through their artwork.
Eligibility is open to registered persons with disabilities under the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities Act, aged 19 to 34 as of the 1st of this month. However, those who won third place or higher in the contests held in 2021 and last year are excluded.
Submitted works will undergo a screening process and the results will be announced in mid-month, with the related awards ceremony scheduled for June. Two grand prizes (awarded by the CEO of Starbucks Korea and the Director of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled) will each receive 3 million KRW; two gold prizes (awarded by the Director of the Korea Disabled Culture and Arts Institute and the Director of the Heart-Heart Foundation) will each receive 1 million KRW; additionally, three silver prizes, five bronze prizes, and ten encouragement prizes will be awarded, totaling 22 works.
