Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee Donates Relief Funds for Wildfire Damage
The Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee, a social contribution organization established by life insurance companies, has donated 50 million KRW to support the recovery from nationwide wildfires and aid the victims.
The Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee announced on the 19th that it delivered the funds through the Korean Red Cross.
The relief funds will be used to support evacuation shelters for wildfire victims, emergency relief supplies, mobile meal services, laundry and bathing vehicles, and firefighting personnel in wildfire-affected areas such as Gangneung, Chungcheong, Daejeon, Suncheon, and Yeongju.

The Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee has been raising social contribution funds annually through contributions from life insurance companies to carry out such activities. Jeong Hee-su, chairman of the Life Insurance Association and the committee chairperson, said, "It is important to share the mindset that we can overcome this together with many people," adding, "I hope everyone can return to their daily lives quickly with hope."
