LGU+ 'Uth', Sends Coffee Trucks to University Campuses
LG Uplus announced on the 19th that it will hold a ‘Coffee Truck Visiting Campus’ event at three university campuses selected through the slogan contest event for its 20s-exclusive brand ‘Uth’.
Uth is a brand exclusively for customers in their 20s launched by LG Uplus to innovate customer experience. It offers unique Uplus benefits that are replenished through fun every month. Various and differentiated benefits have been prepared so that customers in their 20s, including university students, can enjoy the joy of youth through new everyday experiences.

To promote Uth, LG Uplus posted unique banners on 50 university campuses nationwide in March. The banners featured campus-customized slogans created by gathering ideas from Uplus’s university student supporters ‘Uth Spirit’ and new marketing employees.
Additionally, from April 14 to 21, a slogan contest was held on the Uth Instagram account to highlight the characteristics of the Uth brand and university campuses. In this event, which involved students from a total of 31 universities, LG Uplus selected three universities with the most popular slogans based on the combined number of comments and ‘likes’: ▲Kwangwoon University with "This Uth is Kwangwoon, heading to Kwangwoon" ▲Ewha Womans University with "You Ewha, if we’re together, My youth (My youth) Uth is yours?" ▲Kookmin University with "Kookmin (Uni) producers! Let’s be with Uth!"
To commemorate the slogan event, LG Uplus is sending coffee trucks to the three universities to provide free coffee. On the 17th, the first coffee sharing event was held at Kwangwoon Square on the Kwangwoon University campus in Nowon-gu, Seoul, where about 350 students received coffee within an hour. The coffee truck banner featured the name and Instagram ID of the student who proposed the slogan, and Uth members celebrated together by posting their own verifications.
LG Uplus plans to hold coffee sharing events this month at Ewha Womans University and Kookmin University campuses in cooperation with the student councils. In May, which includes Coming-of-Age Day, a special day only for Uth, a ‘Visiting Flower Truck Event’ is being prepared for campuses.
Every month on the 20th, Uth offers new benefits to customers aged 19 to 29 using U+ mobile services. In April, Uth-specific benefits include ▲500 Muneo Coins that can be used to purchase Muneo goods at the Muneo Coin Shop ▲Ediya SsangSsang Churros coupon ▲3,000 KRW voucher for RakHyu Coin Karaoke ▲Unlimited mobile streaming pass for VIBE. Additionally, gifts include ▲tickets to the LG Arts Center’s Slava Polunin ‘Snow Show’ performance ▲the paid iOS photo app ‘filmhwa’.
Beyond monthly benefits, Uth customers can enjoy the ‘5G Direct Plus Plan (59/69)’ which offers unlimited 5G data plans starting at 45,000 KRW when combined with friends, the subscription platform ‘Yudok’’s Willa audiobook 100 KRW deal, and promotional benefits for the Apple iPhone 14 in yellow color. The number of customers in their 20s who applied for benefits through the Uth homepage last month increased by 538% compared to February when Uth was first launched.
