Fire at Beijing Hospital in China... 21 Patients Dead
A fire broke out at a hospital in Beijing, China, resulting in the deaths of 21 patients.
According to the Beijing Daily on the 18th, a fire was reported around 12:57 PM at an inpatient building of a hospital in Fengtai District, Beijing. Firefighters who responded to the scene succeeded in extinguishing the fire around 1:33 PM, but as of 6 PM, it was confirmed that 21 people had died.
Videos circulating on Chinese social media platforms such as Weibo show the area around the building filled with smoke, and some patients jumping out of windows to escape the smoke.
