View original imageThe ‘Jongga Spring Kimchi Sharing’ event is Daesang Jongga’s representative social contribution activity held in spring when the kimchi made during winter starts to run out. While various sharing events take place in winter, ensuring smooth kimchi support, food assistance tends to be relatively insufficient in spring when kimchi supplies dwindle. Therefore, the spring kimchi event is held so that underprivileged neighbors can enjoy kimchi and side dishes without worry.
The event was attended by Daesang executives including Park Eun-young, Executive Vice President of Food Business, Lim Yang-sik, Director of Food Business Sales Planning, and Kim Kyung-sook, Head of ESG Management Office, as well as Lee Soo-yeon, Welfare Planning Officer of Seoul Metropolitan Government, Kim Hyun-hoon, Chairman of Seoul Social Welfare Council, Daesang employees, and 110 volunteers from the Chungjungone University Student and Housewife Volunteer Group.
The participants prepared 2,023 sharing boxes worth approximately 200 million KRW, each containing a total of eight types of Jongga kimchi and side dishes, which were delivered to vulnerable neighbors in Seoul.
