Gokseong-gun Launches Customized Safety Management Pilot Project by Crop Type

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that it will promote the 'Crop-specific Customized Safety Management Practice Pilot Project' targeting strawberry farming groups in the region.

The crop-specific customized safety management practice pilot project is conducted to create a safe farming environment and improve work efficiency by improving risk factors in agricultural work for each crop.

It supports equipment, protective gear, expert consulting, and more to prevent safety accidents that may occur during farming activities and to enable convenient farming.

The county plans to conduct expert consulting for strawberry farming groups to analyze and provide risk factors that may occur during the cultivation process of the main crop, strawberries.

Through this, it aims to create a safe working environment by distributing appropriate safety equipment and auxiliary tools.

In addition, a health management education program is planned to relieve stress occurring during agricultural work and to prevent and treat "Nongbujeung," known as musculoskeletal disorders.

Through this, it plans to strengthen farmers' safety management capabilities and support them to work in a healthy working environment.

The representative of the farming group said, "We will do our best to secure the safety of the group members by improving the conventional working environment and practicing farming without safety accidents. In the future, through consulting, we will take the lead in creating a safe working environment by using safety equipment and auxiliary tools suitable for each work stage."

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, "We hope that this pilot project will help improve the risk factors of agricultural work for each crop, create a safe working environment, and enhance farmers' safety management practice capabilities," adding, "We will continue to promote various projects for farmers' safety."
