National Health Insurance Service Obtains Patent for Unmanned Payment System
The National Health Insurance Service announced on the 18th that it obtained a patent on the 10th for an unmanned payment system for the four major social insurance premiums, becoming the first public institution to do so.
This patent pertains to a system that allows easy inquiry and payment of the four major insurance premiums using only a credit card through real-time linkage among the Service, the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute, and credit card companies, and was jointly filed with the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute.

The Service's unmanned payment kiosks, operational since April 2020, are 'barrier-free' devices considerate of socially vulnerable groups, equipped with various convenience features such as screen height adjusted for wheelchair users, braille and voice services for the visually impaired, low-vision mode, and NFC payment.
