The eligibility criteria for applying to the "Building Homes of Hope" project include newlyweds and multi-child families, multicultural families, persons with disabilities, and veterans who have been homeless for over five years and have lived in the eastern Jeonnam region for more than one year. Two buildings of 25-pyeong size will be constructed, comprising 12 households.
Additionally, applicants for Habitat housing must have minimal economic capacity and the will for self-reliance to repay over a long period without interest, and must participate directly for more than 300 hours in the construction work starting in May.
Since 2017, YGPA has practiced the value of coexistence by directly involving its executives and employees in repairing homes for vulnerable groups in cooperation with Korea Habitat, supporting the improvement of housing environments for local vulnerable populations.
Furthermore, over the past two years, YGPA has focused on discovering and promoting activities that the local community can directly feel, such as creating study rooms for children from multicultural families in the Yeosu area, providing customized learning environments for a total of 40 households.
A YGPA official stated, "We are very honored to participate in Building Homes of Hope and provide a minimum environment for self-reliance to vulnerable groups in the region," adding, "YGPA will continue to carry out coexistence activities to improve the quality of life, including housing environments for vulnerable groups."
