New COVID-19 Cases 4,946... Increase of About 900 Compared to Last Week (Update)
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 17th at midnight that the number of new COVID-19 cases increased by 4,946, bringing the total to 30,994,088.
The number of new cases on this day decreased by 5,242 compared to the previous day (10,188) due to the weekend decline. Compared to a week ago on the 10th (4,005 cases), it is 941 cases higher.
The number of new cases has been increasing for four consecutive days since the 14th compared to a week ago.
However, the average daily number of cases remains in the 10,000 range, indicating that the COVID-19 outbreak is showing a stable trend for a considerable period.
Among the new cases, 23 were imported from overseas.
The number of critically ill patients hospitalized increased by 8 from the previous day to 130.
