When Gil was sent to the prosecution, he answered "yes" to reporters' questions asking if he did not know the Chinese superiors. He also nodded when asked if he had received instructions from a Korean national named Lee in China.
Gil was arrested on the 7th on charges of sending drug beverages he manufactured at his home in Wonju, Gangwon Province, to four part-time workers in Seoul using express buses and quick delivery services. It was investigated that he purchased methamphetamine using the so-called 'throwing method,' where drugs are left at designated locations, and then mixed it with milk to make the drug beverage.
Kim is suspected of installing and operating a relay device that changed the Chinese-origin phone numbers used for threatening calls into domestic mobile phone numbers.
