"Ulsan Ideal for Newlyweds"... High Satisfaction with Rental Housing 'Shinhon Sari' Support Program
Average 93.2% Responded 'Generally Satisfied'
Are newlyweds satisfied with their "newlywed life" in Ulsan? Newlywed couples living in public rental housing responded.
The Ulsan City satisfaction survey on the "Ulsan Newlywed Couple Housing Support Project" showed that an average of 93.2% of respondents were generally satisfied.
This survey was conducted online from March 13 to 17, targeting 272 randomly selected households receiving newlywed housing support. There were 214 respondents (118 men, 96 women).
The survey items included △satisfaction with the project, △degree of help in reducing housing costs, and △additional policy suggestions.
As a result, 92.5% (198 people) of respondents answered that they were satisfied (from very high to moderate) with the project. Regarding the question about help in reducing housing costs, 93.9% (201 people) responded that it was helpful (from very high to moderate).
Additional policy suggestions included expanding support funds for multi-child families and increasing interest support for rental deposit loans.
An official from Ulsan City said, "We will continue efforts to discover and expand housing welfare projects that citizens can feel and be satisfied with."
The "Ulsan Newlywed Couple Housing Support Project" has been implemented since 2021 to alleviate the housing cost burden for newlywed households. As of March this year, a total of 925 households are receiving support.

The support provides newlywed couples living in public rental housing in the Ulsan area with up to 400,000 KRW per month for housing costs for a maximum of 10 years.
