23 Drunk Driving Offenders Caught in Gyeongnam … 7 License Suspended, 16 Canceled
The Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency continued its crackdown on drunk driving in the province during the spring outing season, catching 23 offenders during the operation on the 15th.
According to the provincial police agency on the 16th, the operation took place from midnight to midnight at 34 locations, including local festival sites, major tourist attractions, and the highway entrances and exits at Jinju and Munsan interchanges.
Drunk driving enforcement is taking place in Namji, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam.

The operation was jointly conducted by the provincial undercover patrol team and Changnyeong Police Station, with 70 highway patrol and traffic police officers, 40 local police officers, and 56 patrol cars deployed.
As a result of the crackdown, seven people, including a man in his 40s driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.110% around 10:25 p.m. in Chilseo-myeon, Haman-gun, had their licenses suspended, and 16 had their licenses revoked.
