Germany is conducting a comprehensive investigation into Chinese-made components embedded in its domestic 5th generation mobile communication (5G) network.
According to foreign media on the 16th, Nancy Faeser, Germany's Minister of the Interior, announced that an inspection has begun targeting all Chinese-made components installed in Germany's 5G network. The investigation is reported to prioritize three key elements: crisis identification, risk prevention, and dependency avoidance.

Earlier, reports emerged that Germany was considering not using components from Chinese companies Huawei and ZTE (Zhongxing <中興> Telecommunications) in its domestic communication network due to national security concerns.
