The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Strengthens Cooperation with the National Police Agency to Eradicate Corruption and Public Interest Violations
The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) and the National Police Agency announced on the 14th that they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation to eradicate corruption and public interest infringement acts.

Vice Chairman Jeong requested Commissioner Yoon to expand support for specialized investigative personnel to handle corruption and public interest report cases. He also urged to strengthen the protection of whistleblowers and collaborators, and to establish a conflict of interest prevention system such as recusal of private stakeholders during police investigations.
Vice Chairman Jeong also visited the National Investigation Headquarters on the same day and met with Woo Jong-su, the recently appointed head of the National Investigation Headquarters. Vice Chairman Jeong and Director Woo agreed that the two organizations would work closely together to make every effort to prevent corruption and eradicate corruption crimes.

Vice Chairman Jeong stated, "In a society where corruption is widespread, the safety and comfort of the people cannot be guaranteed. Since corruption prevention and eradication require whole-of-government cooperation, we will further strengthen cooperation with the National Police Agency and do our best to create a clean society."
