‘Eternal Construction Worker’ Lee Ji-song, Former First President of LH, Passes Away
Lee Ji-song, the first president of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), passed away on the 13th.
President Lee was born in July 1940 as the eldest son among seven siblings in Jupo-myeon, Boryeong-gun, Chungnam. He attended Daejeon Middle School and Kyungdong High School, and studied civil engineering at Hanyang University, earning a bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree. He served as vice president of Hyundai Construction, vice chairman of the Korean Society of Civil Engineers, CEO of Hyundai Construction, and president of Kyungbok University.
In October 2009, he was appointed as the first president of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation, successfully leading the integration process between the Korea Land Corporation and the Korea Housing Corporation with the belief of "changing everything except the mission." After retiring in May 2013, he contributed greatly to nurturing future talents while serving as a distinguished professor at his alma mater, Hanyang University.

He is survived by his spouse and two daughters. The funeral is being held at Seoul Asan Medical Center, and the funeral procession will take place on the 17th.
