Kim Sang-cheol, Chairman of Hancom Group, Receives Entrepreneurship Award at Korea Venture Startup Society Startup Awards
Hancom Group announced on the 14th that Chairman Kim Sang-cheol received the Entrepreneurship Award at the 2023 Korea Venture Startup Society Startup Awards ceremony held at Tipstown in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Chairman Kim has rapidly grown Hancom Group through aggressive mergers and acquisitions (M&A), venture investments, and continuous research and development (R&D). This award recognized his contributions to creating an ecosystem of mutual growth through active cooperation with academia, research institutes, and local governments. In particular, he founded 'Codegate,' Korea's first international hacking defense competition, and has sponsored it for 14 years, establishing it as one of the world's top three hacking defense competitions.
