Daejeon City "Strengthening Support for Kind Stores... Aiming to Expand to 374 Locations by Year-End"
Daejeon City is strengthening support for local Good Price Businesses.
On the 14th, the city announced that it has established a support plan for Good Price Businesses to respond to the spread of inflation anxiety.
The support plan for Good Price Businesses was prepared to alleviate the economic burden on ordinary citizens and to manage local prices stably.
Currently, there are a total of 340 Good Price Businesses operating in Daejeon. This is up to three times more than other metropolitan cities such as Daegu with 276, Incheon with 228, Gwangju with 196, and Ulsan with 107.
Good Price Businesses have steadily increased through the city's discovery efforts even during the pandemic. However, recently, the growth trend has slowed due to overlapping economic difficulties such as high inflation and high interest rates.
Accordingly, the city plans to strengthen support for Good Price Businesses and increase the total number to 374 by the end of the year.
First, along with the five existing support projects such as distributing promotional materials and badges, the city will newly implement projects including ▲ awarding extra points when applying for the Self-Employed Doctor Program ▲ awarding extra points when applying for the Live Commerce Activation Support Project ▲ prioritizing selection and support for small business legal service consultations.
Some existing projects will also be strengthened. Representative examples include increasing the annual operating subsidy for Good Price Businesses to 700,000 KRW and expanding the interest support on small business management improvement loans from 2% to 3%.
In addition, the city will provide an additional 5% cashback benefit to citizens who use Good Price Businesses with the Daejeon Love Gift Certificate.
