Yongin City Holds Local Food Direct Market Once a Week
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province operates a local food direct transaction market once a week at Giheung Station and Suji District Office Plaza.
On the 14th, Yongin City announced that it will run two local food direct transaction markets until the end of November, where more than 10 farms in the area sell vegetables, mushrooms, and flowers they produce themselves at prices lower than the market.
The market at the open space under Giheung Station is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the one at Suji District Office Plaza is open every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

An official from the city said, "The direct transaction market, where fresh agricultural products produced in Yongin are sold directly by producers without distribution processes, has opened again this year," adding, "The city will carefully manage the market to ensure it operates more actively for the benefit of both consumers and producers."
