Trump's First Interview Since Start of Trial of the Century... Calls Biden Administration "Incompetent"
Former President Trump Interviews with US Fox News
Regarding US-China Relations, "The Most Dangerous Time in History"
Former U.S. President Donald Trump on the 12th (local time) intensified his offensive against President Joe Biden and the current administration, saying "the people in high places are incompetent" and that the country is facing the most dangerous time in history.
Trump made these remarks in an interview with Fox News released that day. This interview was his first since the so-called 'sex scandal hush money' case, which marked the beginning of the 'trial of the century.'
Trump also launched a political attack regarding the Nord Stream underwater gas pipeline explosion that occurred during the Ukraine war phase last year.
When the interviewer asked, "Who blew up the gas pipeline?" he replied, "I don't want to put our country in trouble. I won't answer," but added, "However, it was not Russia. Everyone knows who it was," and continued, "(The gas pipeline explosion) was a bad thing," adding, "Europe's energy situation has worsened."
Russia has pointed to the U.S. as behind the explosion, while the U.S. suspects pro-Ukraine forces, and the dispute has continued for about half a year.
Regarding the current relationship with China and the U.S., he pointed out, "China is sending fighter jets and ships here and there, and there are talks about World War III involving nuclear weapons," adding, "This is the most dangerous time in history for our country and the world."
Regarding China's attempt to expand the influence of the yuan, he said, "Some people say the dollar will not lose. Are they joking?" and added, "China wants to change the standard. If that happens, it would be like losing in a world war."
Trump, the first former or sitting president in U.S. history to be indicted, also spoke about his first court appearance on the 4th.
He claimed that when he appeared in court, court staff "burst into tears" and that "(many people) were tearing up or choking up." However, it has not been confirmed whether any staff actually shed tears.
Meanwhile, Letitia James, New York State Attorney General and prosecutor, announced on Truth Social on the 13th that she had arrived in Manhattan, New York, to record testimony related to the lawsuit she filed against Trump and his adult children for recovering ill-gotten gains.
