Strengthening Yeonghonam Unity and Support for Successful Expo Hosting

On the 12th, Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced that it held a pre-purchase agreement ceremony for 30 million KRW worth of expo admission tickets at the Gwangyang City Hall reception room to support the successful hosting of the 2023 Hadong World Tea Expo.

The agreement ceremony took place with Hadong County Governor Ha Seung-cheol, co-chairman of the Hadong World Tea Expo Organizing Committee, visiting Gwangyang City in person at the committee's request.

Gwangyang City and Hadong County are sister cities that have established themselves as symbolic regions of Yeongnam and Honam harmony through active support and cooperation in tourism, culture, and sports events centered around the Seomjin River, growing together as central cities in the southern coast’s mid-region.

During the 22nd Gwangyang Maehwa Festival, the city supported the operation of a promotional booth and a joint sales booth for agricultural and specialty products for Hadong County.

Jung In-hwa, mayor of Gwangyang City, said, “As Gwangyang City and Hadong County are symbolic regions of Yeongnam and Honam harmony, I hope that the 2023 Hadong World Tea Expo held in Hadong will be successfully hosted and bring vitality even to our neighboring Gwangyang City.”
