Goseong-gun, "Life is Precious... Conducting Suicide Prevention Education"
On the 12th, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, conducted education on youth life respect and suicide prevention for about 60 first-year students and teachers at Sogaya Middle School's audiovisual room.
According to the Statistics Korea's 'Cause of Death Statistics,' the leading cause of death among Korean youth is intentional self-harm (suicide).
As the issue of youth suicide has emerged as a serious social problem, the Goseong-gun Mental Health Welfare Center will visit seven middle and high schools in the district from April to September to promote suicide prevention and respect for life.
