Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Urges Caution to Prevent Careless Fires in Spring
Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station announced on the 13th that it urges compliance with safety rules to prevent fires caused by carelessness during the spring season.
The main causes of careless fires are mostly cigarette butts, candles, leaving food unattended while cooking, and burning garbage.
Last spring season (March to May), there were 6,285 fires caused by carelessness nationwide, resulting in 20 deaths and 277 injuries.
To prevent this, it is essential to actively practice ▲prohibiting the illegal disposal of cigarette butts and smoking only in designated smoking areas ▲not leaving food unattended while cooking ▲not burning rice paddies or field edges ▲prohibiting garbage burning ▲using candles fixed on candle holders.
