Jung Jin-taek, President of Samsung Heavy Industries, Appointed as the 19th President of the Korea Offshore & Shipbuilding Plant Association
Jung Jin-taek, CEO of Samsung Heavy Industries, has been appointed as the 19th president of the Korea Offshore & Shipbuilding Association.
President Jung, who entered the shipbuilding industry through design work, has served as head of sales, head of risk management, head of technology development, and shipyard director. Since 2021, he has been leading Samsung Heavy Industries as CEO.
President Jung stated, "The global climate crisis is both a challenge that must be overcome and a new opportunity," adding, "Amid the energy transition era, we will do our best to ensure that Korea's shipbuilding and offshore industry maintains its world-class competitiveness and that our eco-friendly, smart, and autonomous navigation technologies become game changers."
