Hyundai Glovis Provides Free Transport of Emergency Relief Supplies for Gangneung Wildfire
Essential Supplies, Relief Kits, and Tents for Disaster Victims
Hyundai Glovis announced on the 12th that it has launched free emergency relief goods transportation to help disaster victims affected by the large wildfire in Gangneung-si, Gangwon Province.
Since the previous day, the company has been rapidly transporting emergency relief goods from the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to the affected areas. The relief goods being transported were stored at the Disaster Relief Logistics Center in preparation for disasters. These include daily necessities, emergency relief kits, shelter partitions, and tents to assist disaster victims staying in temporary shelters. The company plans to provide free transportation immediately whenever additional relief goods need to be delivered.
Since establishing its relief goods transportation system in 2013, Hyundai Glovis has been engaged in various social contribution activities. In September last year, it delivered relief supplies to help disaster victims in the Gyeongbuk region, which was hit by a typhoon. To ensure smooth transportation of relief goods, it also donated a dedicated vehicle (wing body 1-ton truck) to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.
