Yeongam Police Station in Jeollanam-do (Chief Kim Jong-deuk) announced on the 12th that they attended the monthly meeting of village chiefs at the Yeongam County Office Nangsansil and conducted promotional activities to prevent voice phishing and to encourage subscriptions to the Jeollanam-do Police Agency YouTube channel and addition of the KakaoTalk channel.

In particular, as damage from voice phishing continues to occur, they produced easily understandable promotional materials for prevention and distributed them to the village chiefs.
To prevent voice phishing, they urged people to suspect voice phishing if they receive calls impersonating low-interest refinancing loans, financial institutions, or public institutions, and to actively report to 112.
