Hong Jun-pyo to Tae Young-ho on April 3 remarks: "Where are you aiming your arrow?"
Recently, Hong Joon-pyo, the mayor of Daegu who has not held back from criticizing the party, responded to criticism from Supreme Council Member Tae Young-ho by saying, "Where are you aiming your arrows?"
On the 12th, Mayor Hong criticized through his social media (SNS), saying, "As someone who put the executive branch at the center of controversy, if I became the subject of controversy, I should have reflected on myself, but I am truly baffled as to where the arrows are being aimed."
This was in response to Supreme Council Member Tae attending a senior members' meeting and saying, "Senior members outside the party are shaking Representative Kim without concrete evidence."
Mayor Hong pointed out that Supreme Council Member Tae previously caused controversy by stating that the April 3 incident was directed by Kim Il-sung, saying, "If you insist, it would be understandable to say that the rebellion was incited by Kim Dal-sam, the military commander of the South Korean Workers' Party in Jeju, under the direction of Park Heon-young, the leader of the South Korean Workers' Party. However, saying it was under the direction of Kim Il-sung, who had not yet fully controlled the North at the time, was a claim that gave pro-North leftists an opportunity to counterattack."

He added, "After the Korean War, during the process of recovery, wasn't the responsibility unfairly placed on Park Heon-young of the South Korean Workers' Party and Kim Du-bong of the Yeonan faction, leading to their purge and the completion of Kim Il-sung's one-man dictatorship?" He raised his voice, saying, "In a situation where we should be reflecting together, it is truly absurd to say I am shaking things without evidence. Am I someone who speaks recklessly without evidence like you?"
