Kim was also ordered to complete 40 hours of sexual violence treatment programs and was banned from employment at institutions related to children, adolescents, and persons with disabilities for three years. The court explained the sentencing rationale, stating, “Even considering that (Kim) has no prior criminal record except for two fines for drunk driving, given the seriousness of the crime and the victim’s suffering, a prison sentence is inevitable.”
The court continued, “(Kim) is deemed to pose a flight risk, so we intend to detain him in court,” and Kim was detained in the courtroom.
Kim is accused of filming the body parts of the victim, A, whom he was dating, in Yangyang, Gangwon Province, in July 2018, and sharing the photos in a group chat with 10 men.
