Daegu Police Agency Arrests 5 Members of Methamphetamine Supply and Use Ring
A group involved in selling methamphetamine to acquaintances and using it in residential areas and inns was arrested by the police.
The Daegu Metropolitan Police Agency's Metropolitan Investigation Unit arrested five people, including A (58), on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act on the 10th, and booked two others, including B (45), without detention.
The police also seized methamphetamine and syringes sufficient for about 140 doses from them. The individuals, who met each other through drug use, are suspected of selling or using methamphetamine for money among people around them from July to December last year.

The police are expanding the investigation by tracking the supplier who provided drugs to A and others. They are also promoting intensive crackdowns around schools and academies to prevent youth from coming into contact with narcotics.
